Engineering Low Level Land to an Engineered Platform Level for development

Our client wanted to fill their proposed development land using inert engineered material that was sourced locally.

Using the CL: AIRE Code of Practice it allowed for the use of suitable material to be placed and engineered under this code.

By carrying out the operation under this control method, it gave the Client the opportunity to enhance the land with the revenue gained by the filling operation.

In many cases this method is accepted by the EA as it allows suitable material to be reused as engineered material and thus not being sent to landfill.
