Power Plant Installation at Kingsnorth Industrial Estate – Site Strip and Grading Works

Due to our experience in this field, B T O’Sullivan Construction Solutions were chosen as the principal contractor for a major reserve power plant installation in Rochester, Kent. The first phase of this project required a full site strip and grading works of the existing site in preparation for phase two.

Local Ecology at the Forefront of the Reserve Power Plant Development

Initially, B T O’Sullivan Construction Solutions located all known and unknown services on the power plant site. Due to the location and surrounding areas of the site BTOCS provided a highly-respected Ecologist to observe the works and survey the area, and only once instructed by the Ecologist did the works commence.

All vegetation was then removed from the reserve power plant site, the re-grading works commenced, reprofiling the general layout to ensure that there were no depressions present where new habitats may form. When the general level had been reformed, the site surface was sealed by back blading and tracking in.
