Major Project Awarded for Construction at City Airport, Manchester

Unique Project Provides Various Challenges for B T O’Sullivan to Overcome

Today, B T O’Sullivan Construction Solutions are pleased to announce that we have been awarded the role of Principal Contractor for a large aircraft hangar development project at City Airport in Manchester. 

A unique project as the steelwork being used has been taken down from another development and will be re-erected for this project at the new site. Currently the site is home to an existing aircraft hanger, which will need to be demolished to make room from the new structure. 

Works will begin imminently on site with the concrete works to the pad foundations commencing followed by the steelwork, 3000m3 reinforced concrete slab, cladding, site drainage and groundworks. Programmed works are due to run over the next 14 weeks.
